Your Role With Us: Medical Office Assistant- Urgent Care ClinicThe Unscheduled Medical Office Assistant would provide coverage for planned staff absences (vacations/PTO/LOA), as well as some unplanned absences (illness/injury, etc.). As a Medical Office Assistant you would be working with your team to manage the clinic patient schedule. Pre-register, register and check out patients according to procedure. Verify written physician orders for accuracy as compared to the procedure scheduled. Verify insurance benefits to determine eligibility and completes MSPQ, as needed. Collect co-pays, co-insurance and payments on past due accounts and other duties as required to ensure optimal functioning of the ambulatory clinic.
