Short Description

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), assists with patients' activities of daily living and plan of care. Communicates with and supports healthcare team, patients and/or patient's family or significant other(s). Maintains and demonstrates high standards of professional ethics.
Overview

Kelemen North and South 9 is a two-sided, seventy-six bed Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit. Our staff care for a variety of patient populations, including cardiac, trauma, gastrointestinal, and psych. Also to support our staff are Clinical Nurse Managers (CNMs) which help with patient care, throughput, and assignments.

Nurses who are staffed on Kelemen 9 are required to have Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications, which will allow competent and safe care for our complex patient populations.


Experience Required

1 year or more patient care experience in a similar role.


Education Requirements

  • Completed at least one fundamental nursing course in an accredited RN Program
  • Successful completion of an unlicensed health care provider/ technician program
  • High school diploma/GED

License/Certification Requirements

AHA Basic Life Support certification.


Special Requirements

Must successfully complete EKG and Phlebotomy training during orientation.
