Job Description

We are currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach SOCI 210 -Introduction to Sociology at our Worldwide online campus.

Course Description

Students are provided an integrated survey of the fundamental concepts of culture, forms of collective behavior, community, and social organization, social interaction, and social change. The social effects of aviation and the impact of science on the social order living in an air age will also be investigated.

If selected for this role, the candidate will be required to provide proof of stated qualifications. This includes, but is not limited to, official transcripts, copies of professional licenses/certifications, documentation of military experience, and/or verified professional industry related experience.

Qualifications

Applicant Qualifications

Doctor's or Master's degree in teaching discipline, or a Masters's degree with a concentration in teaching discipline (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline).

Appropriate Certification:

N/A

Desired Professional Training or Experience:

Certain civilian and or military aviation related experiences may apply toward the applicant qualification, however the candidate must be otherwise academically qualified.

Sociology

Related Discipline:

Psychology, Social Science, Humanities such as: Counseling and Human Development, Liberal Arts, Education

Please note that ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including during training. Presently, we are able to support work for new adjuncts from all U.S. states except California. ERAU does not support work from international locations with some limited exceptions for individuals who are residing and working from U.S. military bases.
