About the Kummer College:

The establishment of the Kummer College was made possible by a transformative $300 million gift from June and Fred Kummer, a 1955 graduate of Missouri S&T. The Kummer College was established to serve as a pathbreaking model for social impact, technology transfer, and interdisciplinary collaboration within a future-oriented STEM-focused university. Missouri S&T is one of the nation's leading research universities with 100 degree programs in 39 disciplines, with over 7,000 on-campus and online students. Job Description

The Kummer College of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Economic Development at the Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) is inviting applications for a new Director of Corporate Partnerships, with an anticipated August 2025 start date. The Director of Corporate Partnerships will be responsible for building the vision, strategy, and operations needed to establish external corporate partnerships for identifying mutually beneficial client-based capstone consulting projects for Kummer College undergraduate and graduate students. The director will work to align the corporate partner's business, projects, and talent needs with the educational program and student requirements within the Kummer College.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Identify, build, and manage corporate partnerships and secure mutually beneficial client-based projects, including matching projects with Kummer College programs and student skill sets while providing oversight to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and compliant with company/contract requirements
  • Help the Kummer College foster economic development through local and regional corporate engagement
  • Promote the Kummer College and help recruit corporate employees to online graduate programs in the areas of business, information science and technology, economics, engineering management, and systems engineering
  • Work with the Kummer College Vice Provost and Dean, Associate Dean, and Department Chairs, as well as the Vice Provost for Online Learning and Educational Innovation, to help identify market-ready academic programs which may include certifications, undergraduate, graduate, and professional program opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 6 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D degree preferred
  • Customer focused with experience working in some capacity with corporate-university partnerships
Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $78,562.00 to $120,078.00 annually.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
