Scope of leadership role

Reporting to the SVP/GM for the Motors & Drives division, the VP of Finance will be responsible for providing Finance leadership for the Motors & Drives division of Regal Rexnord, which is within the Power Efficiency Solutions (PES) segment. The Motors & Drives division is comprised of ~6000 global associates across 9 global manufacturing sites, producing more than $1.1B in revenue. The preferred location for the role will be Milwaukee/Chicago.

The VP of Finance provides leadership and direction to the Motors & Solutions finance team, as well as serves as a key business partner to the Division SVP/GM as a member of the leadership staff. This position will oversee strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial close, financial analysis, SOX compliance, and enhancing internal controls and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key business partner to the VP/GM, and as member of the senior leadership team, provide business and financial insights to support decision making at strategic and operational level
  • Recommend and lead new efforts to drive profitable organic growth, decrease trade working capital requirements, increase Return on Invested Capital and optimize Free Cash Flows.
  • Full financial ownership to include the Commercial, Operational and Balance Sheet results; driving growth while managing risk
  • Ensure sound monthly reporting aligned with internal RRX policies and external regulatory requirements including US GAAP, IFRS and SOX; provide business and financial analysis that identifies underlying trends and highlights potential opportunities and risks
  • Direct monthly forecasting process with 9 operating plants as well as consolidation and corporate reporting; lead monthly close process and monthly financial operating reviews
  • Ownership of annual budget process, working with plant controllers and division leadership to set direction and establish financial targets
  • Oversee 3-Year Strategy Planning process including coordination with Commercial, Engineering, and Operations functions to coordinate presentation to ELT and long-term financials creation
  • Participate in the financial analysis for contract negotiations, capital expenditures and product investment decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement and reduce cycle time in various reoccurring financial processes through the increased utilization of technology and tools, implementation of standard operating procedures and other efficiency measures, while embracing Regal Rexnord's 80/20 principles
  • Partner with other functions and serve as lead financial support for division projects including 80/20 execution, pricing strategy, and footprint optimization
  • Provide real-time coaching and development opportunities to finance team members
  • Serve as an advocate for our top talent, building strong succession plans to enable increased velocity, be a champion of promoting diversity and inclusion in the organization and be an advocate of our global finance talent development process.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance: advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant and progressive accounting/finance experience
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment with multi-site responsibility required
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to quickly establish a personal brand within the organization to drive cross functional collaboration and influence resources outside one's direct responsibility.
  • Ability to connect and drive high level strategic objectives for the business while at the same time able to dive into transactional detail if needed to resolve questions or issues
  • Ability to identify trends and themes for continuous improvement across the function and the business
  • Ability to overcome obstacles and achieve objectives, and where needed change operational tactics along the way to achieve business goals
  • Create a work environment with high standards of performance but where team members feel engaged and supported
  • Commitment to coaching and mentoring staff to enhance the proficiency, competencies and long-term development of the team
  • Motivated by and thrives in a fast-paced environment with frequent ad hoc requests and changing priorities.
  • Proven ability to be hands on, roll up sleeves and demonstrate resourcefulness, initiative, results-orientation. Has a mindset of continuous improvement and can embrace Regal Rexnord's 80/20 principles.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems; Experience with Oracle ERP system, SAP, Hyperion and OneStream is a plus. Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word.
