  • Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services and more.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Director of Acute Care Nursing, this position serves as the clinical nurse leader responsible for daily operations and management of the Med/Surg and ICU units.
  • The Clinical Nurse Manager assumes responsibility for shift operations such as making appropriate assignments, patient care coordination, resolving issues, functioning as the resource nurse, participating in staffing decisions, rounding on patients, and maintaining TJC compliance.
  • In collaboration with the Director of Acute Care Nursing the Clinical Nurse Leader assumes management responsibilities such as Associate performance evaluations, corrective action, maintaining departmental efficiency, and participation in unit performance improvement programs.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with Texas Board of Nursing - OR - current home state license is required for multi-state license recognition through the Nurse Licensure Compact

  • BLS,

  • ACLS required

  • Completion of education to obtain Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

  • BSN required (or agree to attain within two years of position date)

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a charge nurse required

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in acute care hospital setting preferred.
