Job Overview

The Hubbell Internship Program is a 10 to 12-week program providing students the opportunity to gain corporate experience, learn about all aspects of our business, and prepare students with the kind of experience needed to have a rewarding career at Hubbell.

Hubbell is seeking a dedicated, innovative, and strategic thinker to become part of our Communications team, within our Talent, Inclusion, and Corporate Communications division. You will play a role in creating communications to support enterprise-wide initiatives in partnership with Hubbell's Change Management team.

This individual can expect to learn how to create engaging content and improve their written and verbal communications. They will also receive firsthand experience with strategic planning initiatives, team collaboration, networking, researching, and time management in a business setting.

This opportunity will empower an individual to learn and grow in their understanding of what they want professionally in the future and provide comprehensive development opportunities that enable them to embrace diverse perspectives and ideas.

A Day In The Life

Roles and Responsibilities may include the following:



  • Help develop compelling content that explains Hubbell's culture, values, strategy and helps every employee understand their role in delivering on the company's the mission
  • Gain knowledge of the industry through research and collaboration
  • Utilize planning and organizational skills to support communications team projects
  • Review current communications program activities to make recommendations for changes and improvements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Enrollment in an accredited university working towards a Bachelor's or Master's Degree related to the internship (required)
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (required)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products preferred
  • Familiarity with relevant software and systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment



Expectations: The intern will be expected to work full-time at 40 hours/week and will be compensated on an hourly basis.

Compensation Range: $22.50/hour - $29.00/hour (dependent upon graduation date)
