Join our team at John Zink in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and be a part of a dynamic workforce dedicated to excellence in welding. As a Senior Code Welder, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our welding operations. You will be responsible for executing precise and efficient welds on various materials and components to meet industry standards and project requirements. Your expertise and experience will contribute to the success of our projects while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.

Your primary duties will involve setting up, operating, and positioning welding equipment to perform welds within moderate tolerances. In addition to welding tasks, you will perform related duties such as grinding, burning, gouging, and chipping as needed to ensure the quality of work. Handling floor-operated cranes and other material handling equipment may also be part of your responsibilities.

This role is offering a $2,000 sign on bonus

Shift Options:
* 1st Shift: Monday - Friday (7:00am - 3:30pm)

What You Will Do
* Ensure all processes are carried out with the required use of safety controls and PPE requirements
* Join, fabricate & repair metal & other weld-able material by applying appropriate welding techniques
* Read blueprints and join parts with little to no assistance
* Use mathematics and appropriate tools - including measuring devices (tape measure)
* Setting up, operating & positioning of welding equipment to perform required welds at moderate tolerances
* Performing other related duties including grinding, burning, gouging & chipping
* Handle floor-operated cranes or other material handling equipment

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* A minimum of 5 years of welding experience
* Working knowledge of MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and Fluxcore (FCAW) on structural, pipe, plate and/or sheet metals. Materials include carbon steel and stainless steel
* Experience with set up, operation & positioning of welding equipment

What Will Put You Ahead
* Working knowledge of Subarc (SAW)
* Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and the ability to perform visual inspections to assess weld quality, identifying and addressing any defects or imperfections.

Must pass 2 of the 3 following Tests:
* 2G carbon steel "plate with FCAW
* 2" sch.160 with GMAW roll all the way out
* 2" sch.160 6G with GTAW all the way out
