The Business Analyst Senior job provides analysis and business support for the VCU Hume-Lee Transplant Department. This may include work in any combination of the following: business and decision analytics, financial planning and management, budget, procurement, general business operations, staff supervision, process improvement initiatives, and/or information technology coordination in collaboration with administration and/or clinical staff.
The Business Analyst Senior job identifies issues related to existing programs and recommends effective, timely solutions. This role ensures compliance with applicable governmental rules and regulations. Experience REQUIRED: Minimum of five (5) years in a business administration setting. Strong financial and critical thinking skills, process improvement. Advanced level of experience with spreadsheets and databases. Experience PREFERRED: Three (3) years of work experience in healthcare: academic medical center / hospital / physician practice or other similar setting. Business / Data Analytics Project management Previous experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) Education/training REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Operations, or other job-related program, or equivalent combination of related experience and education. Education/training PREFERRED: Master's degree in business administration, Finance, Operations, or other job-related program, or equivalent combination of related experience and education. Independent action(s) required: Able to conduct analysis and work independently with minimal supervision. Coordinates work with manager as needed. Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): May lead and have oversight for a team. Additional position requirements: May require working early/late hours.
