DEPARTMENT: Operations - Central Operations LOCATION: Fresno, CA
Job Summary and Scope of Responsibility: Direct and manage the day-to-day activities through subordinate operations managers. Paint a vision and build a plan for the department. Model our culture and mission in all interactions as we build relationships and connections. Evaluate and enhance current operational systems/processes based on industry trends, focus on relationship banking, and people. Monitor performance against goals, develop reporting and audit processes used to analyze operational effectiveness. Provide input on strategies to executive leadership that affect the functional area of responsibility. . - Present models, findings and insights to senior management to drive business decisions. Actively research and monitor industry trends, best practices, regulatory changes, competitor offerings, technology changes and client feedback.
- Make strategic decisions to prioritize within functional area, guide and set goals that are actionable, measurable and realistic for all of the teams that report to the position.
- Develop analytical framework/matrix to support and monitor progress of strategic planning objectives.
- Identify operational weaknesses and help improve or innovate new processes with team management.
- Build, maintain, communicate and present detailed reporting for the team regarding performance metrics.
- Collaborate within Central Operations teams, as well as sales, product, retail, compliance, core and other central functions, to share insights that ensure we are aligned with the bank's strategic objectives.
- Oversee, implementation and evaluation of team training, skill development and performance management activities. Coach and mentor leaders on critical thinking and prioritization.
- Leverage resources to recruit and develop talent pipeline.
- Lead the selection of department vendors and monitor the vendor performance related to the service agreement.
- Lead the development of, and ensure compliance with processes, procedures and controls to meet regulatory and bank requirements. Monitor the evaluation of new compliance and policy requirements to ensure that department procedures and processes are updated and appropriate training is conducted.

- Strong organization and project management skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple time-sensitive and/or and critical tasks and processes.
- Computer proficiency, including internet browsers and Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Ability to perform essential job functions independently, under minimal supervision.
- Proficiency at speaking, reading and writing English.
Experience and/or Education:
- Experience conducting research and interpreting data; and designing and delivering high-qualify presentations to support strategic decisions.
- Experience evaluating and recommending risk mitigation measures.
- Five years of progressively responsible experience, to include the strategic leadership of a bank's centralized operations department.
- One year of experience working with cash management services, preferred.
