We are seeking an experienced Director, Regulatory Strategy, to join our leadership team. This role involves developing and optimizing regulatory strategies for Enbridge Gas Distribution & Storage's utilities across North America. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments, including Legal, Finance, Government Affairs, and other key stakeholders, to ensure our regulatory strategy aligns with our business unit and corporate strategies; taking is from not just North America's largest gas utility, but also its best.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop regulatory strategies for Enbridge Gas Distribution & Storage business unit across Ontario, Ohio, North Carolina, and Utah/Wyoming/Idaho, and support the development of strategies for Enbridge Gas Quebec.

  • Collaborate with local regulatory teams to optimize general rate cases and other key regulatory applications.

  • Conduct legislative and regulatory jurisdictional screens and monitor adjacent and international jurisdictions for policy and regulatory risks and opportunities.

  • Generate concise and actionable reports for executive consumption related to stipulations, settlements, decisions, and applications in North America, UK, Europe, and Australia/New Zealand.

  • Contribute to the business unit strategy and the overall enterprise-wide corporate strategy.

Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of directly related experience in progressive leadership roles.

  • Post-secondary degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong strategic thinking and outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to work in a team and influence without authority.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally.

  • Stellar public speaking skills.

Working Conditions:
  • This role will involve 15-20% travel across Canada and US.
