- Provide technical assistance to field personnel including identifying gaps in processes or procedures.
- Understand and apply the applicable CFR 192 code requirements to ensure engineering, materials selection, material testing, and intended operation meet all requirements.
- Understand and make decisions around the implementation of processes, projects, or procedures that have direct impacts to the overall system and the area operations personnel.
- Understand and apply Operating Procedures to ensure safe and reliable operation within the Region.
- Understand operational documentation requirements and be able to support field audits.
- Support the investigation of failures and reliability issues and develop solutions.
- Represent Operations in supporting project teams and various collaborators within the Company.
- Support the development of O&M and Capital project scopes and budgets to support ongoing operations.
- Develop full understanding of applicable design standards and maintenance
- Formulate material and contractor bid specifications. Create service and purchase requisitions; evaluate bids and make material and contractor selections.
- Conduct reviews and provide approval of engineering designs and changes as part of the Management of Change (MOC) Process.
- Review and approve gas handling procedures for operational activities.
- Develop full understanding of compression fleet and how they are used in system operation.
- Provide support in emergency response situations and efforts.
Who You Are: You have:
- 2+ years of experience in the pipeline transmission industry along with a bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering
- A technical background with experience in facility integrity, reliability or operations and leading in a team environment
You can:
- Show a solid understanding of Natural Gas operation and reliability programs
- Offer strong organizational skills to manage contending priorities with multiple projects
You are:
- An excellent written and verbal communicator who has strong digital literacy to operate a computer and basic computer applications
- Able to negotiate and have purchasing knowledge
The following are considered assets:
- Knowledge of CFR 192 and other relevant codes
Working Conditions:
- Work performed in a typical office environment with large amounts of time spent in the field to support and understand area operations needs. Time in the field may include exposure to extreme hot or cold weather conditions that are noisy and dirty as ongoing construction sites
- Travel will be up to 35% of the time, generally being 1 full week at a time
