Who We Are

• Harvesters provides food and related household products to more than 760 nonprofit agencies including emergency food pantries, community kitchens, homeless shelters, children’s homes and others. We also offer education programs to increase community awareness of hunger and teach about good nutrition. 
• Harvesters is a certified member of Feeding America, a nationwide network of more than 200 food banks. In 2011, Harvesters was Feeding America’s Food Bank of the Year. We are a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

You might be wondering how Harvesters helps people who are having a hard time getting the food they need. • Harvesters fulfills its mission of feeding neighbors experiencing food insecurity by working with an amazing network of more than 760 nonprofit partner agencies.
• As a food bank, we do not provide direct services to families and seniors. We acquire, store and distribute food and household items to our network. 
• Our network is made up of a variety of organizations including food pantries, community kitchens, shelters, children’s homes, schools, churches, community centers, health clinics, libraries and others. These agencies distribute groceries and meals directly to those in need.
• During fiscal year 2021, Harvesters’ agencies helped Harvesters distribute more than 76 million pounds of food, providing more than 67 million meals.
